Role Descriptions:
A key enabler of this vision is a deep understanding of our customers both individuals and businesses through a holistic and unified view. This role is a critical component of EDMP and supports Customer 360, an enterprise-wide capability that provides a global view of entities and serves as the system of record for demographic data across American Express. Customer 360 is transforming our data ecosystem and redefining how we engage with customers by leveraging Amex s industry-leading data assets, advanced machine learning models, and next-generation Big Data technologies.
We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to join as the Director - Data Analytics, C360. The ideal candidate will be a visionary problem-solver with deep expertise in data strategy, analytics, and governance. Key responsibilities include developing deterministic matching frameworks, designing data roll-up and arbitration strategies, conducting internal and external data evaluations, and leading analytical initiatives in support of the Financial Crimes Risk Management program. This role will also collaborate closely with platform owners to deploy data science solutions that enhance global customer matching, enrich data quality, and improve overall accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities:

Design and develop advanced matching algorithms and frameworks
to support entity resolution and deterministic linkages.

Lead internal and external data evaluations
to identify enrichment opportunities and enhance data quality.

Own end-to-end analytical delivery
for the Financial Crimes Risk Management program, ensuring actionable insights and operational excellence.

Monitor and assess data quality and algorithmic outputs,
establishing systematic processes to identify and address gaps in existing models and workflows.

Provide strategic and technical thought leadership
to product owners and technology leads on platform architecture, ensuring seamless integration of data science solutions.

Collaborate with product and technology teams in an Agile environment
to deploy scalable and production-ready data science models and frameworks.

Maintain an external perspective
on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and regulatory trends to guide business and technical strategy.

Drive new initiatives
by developing project plans, analytical frameworks, and execution roadmaps to support organizational priorities.

Qualifications:

7+ years of experience
in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale data science and analytics solutions.

bachelors or masters degree
in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.

Excellent communication and influencing skills
with a proven ability to engage, align, and inspire cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.

Proven leadership experience
in building, leading, and motivating high-performing teams with diverse technical and analytical skills.

Hands-on experience
in conceptualizing and developing entity resolution and deterministic matching algorithms or frameworks.

Strong technical background
with expertise in Big Data ecosystems and tools such as Hive and Python.
