  • Providing highest-level leadership, direction, and management of project resources (internal and external), responsible for all project commercial requirements
  • Establishing and maintaining excellent Stakeholder management, strengthening relationships with diplomacy and tact
  • Able to lead and stabilize new and critical Projects with focus on first time flawless delivery
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive BIM strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices. Identify opportunities to optimize digital delivery processes and enhance project outcomes.
  • Ensuring work undertaken in accordance with an agreed project brief, company procedures and the stated governance requirements
  • Reporting both formally and informally on financial position and business development initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities for product improvement and able to demonstrate a genuine interest in transformation of existing marketing and business development
  • Lead and manage a team of BIM Managers & BIM Lead/Coordinators. Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to ensure the successful execution of projects.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between internal & external stakeholders, including Architects, engineers, sub-consultants, and project managers. Facilitate interdisciplinary coordination and information exchange through BIM technologies and workflows.
  • Define and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices to ensure consistent and high-quality deliverables. Stay updated with industry advancements and evolving BIM standards, incorporating them into the organization's processes as appropriate.
  • Oversee the digital delivery of BIM projects, ensuring compliance with project requirements, timelines, and budgets. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project success.
  • Enhance efficiency and project outcomes by evaluating and recommending emerging Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies, including cloud platforms like BIM360/ACC. Integration of Virtual Reality (VR), Digital Design QA/QC review, BIM360/ACC project reporting and implementing automation solutions into existing systems & workflows. By leveraging BIM Tools and automation, optimize processes, enhance collaboration, and streamline project management, ultimately improving overall efficiency and reducing business operating costs. Collaborate closely with IT teams to ensure smooth implementation and seamless integration of these innovative tools.
  • Identify skill gaps within the BIM team, Design Engineers and develop training programs to enhance their capabilities. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and continuous learning.
  • Ensuring that stakeholder needs and expectations are met regarding commercial probity and value and that the supply chain is treated fairly and equitably by establishing communication and information sharing approaches to deliver success.
  • Aligning and planning the work in accordance with the approved project programme and reporting on progress as required. Establishing effective methods to learn from experience and to mitigate future risks

Desired skills and experience for this

  • 14 to 18 years of experience working in a similar role.
  • Highly skilled in in BIM360/ACC software.
  • Experience of construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation; on a dynamic, fast track programme
  • Should have managed multiple large projects across teams and Geos
  • Experience in managing large teams in a corporate environment and collaborate with other senior managers to effectively manage operations of the site, inputting effectively
  • Ability to motivate and energise staff and contract partners by building a climate of trust and understanding and actively seeking alternative views and opinions
  • Ability to contribute to the management of a high performing team that continuously outperforms expectations and objectives
  • Ability able to write informative, concise and meaningful reports
  • Adopt a results-focussed mind set, using initiative wherever possible and taking personal responsibility and accountability to ensure necessary action is taken to deliver excellence, value and quality.
  • Desired skill: MRICS
