The Opportunity
We are hiring a visionary and hands-on Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Leader to design, build, and manage modern enterprise infrastructure across Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and on-premise platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix). The candidate will lead hybrid architecture initiatives, infrastructure modernization, and implement FinOps practices for cost-effective operations.
The Responsibilities
- Architect and manage hybrid IT infrastructure involving Azure cloud and on-premise virtualization platforms.
- Deliver scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure across Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.
- Design and administer on-prem virtualization using VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Nutanix AHV.
- Drive cloud adoption with a balanced approach to hybrid workloads, ensuring business continuity and optimal performance.
- Implement HA, DR, and backup strategies across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Lead the integration of Azure services such as App Services, Azure SQL, Azure AD, Logic Apps, and
- SaaS-based productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365).\
- Monitor and manage hybrid connectivity solutions (e.g., VPNs, ExpressRoute) and enforce cloud governance and security frameworks.
- Implement FinOps practices to monitor cloud usage, right-size resources, and control costs. Collaborate with stakeholders across application, security, and network teams for solution design and delivery.
- Document architectures, workflows, runbooks, and operational standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of infrastructure and cloud engineers to deliver support and projects.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in Azure IaaS (VMs, Networking, Storage), PaaS (App Services, Functions, DBs), and SaaS (Microsoft 365, Defender, Entra ID).
- Proven experience managing and operating VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Nutanix AHV.
- Solid understanding of hybrid architecture, cloud-native services, and on-prem modernization strategies.
- Working knowledge of cloud security, governance, RBAC, and identity integration (Azure AD, Conditional Access).
- Proficient in disaster recovery, business continuity, and performance optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Nutanix Prism).
- Strong knowledge of cloud cost optimization and budget management via FinOps principles.
The Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent (BCA/Btech/MCA)
- Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven leadership in cross-functional and distributed teams.
- Process-driven with strong documentation and operational maturity.
