The Director - Academia will lead strategic partnerships, curriculum innovation, and national/global academic collaborations to position TechD as the premier cybersecurity education provider in India and beyond.
Role Overview
The Director - Academia will spearhead TechD s academic initiatives, partnerships, university programs, training alliances, placement outcomes, and skill-development ecosystem. This role demands strong leadership, relationship management, and the ability to drive large-scale academic transformations with universities, colleges, government bodies, and skill missions.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Partnerships & Alliances
- Lead and expand partnerships with universities, colleges, skill development agencies, and international academic institutions.
- Drive MoUs, joint programs, academic alliances, and innovation labs in collaboration with partner institutes.
- Oversee deployment and performance of TechD trainers, coordinators, and academic delivery teams across campuses.
Curriculum Development & Program Innovation
- Own the design and execution of cybersecurity programs:
- B.Tech, M.Tech, Diploma, Certification, Finishing School Modules
- Corporate and executive-level programs
- Ensure alignment with global cybersecurity standards NIST, ISO, MITRE, OWASP, CERT-In norms, etc.
- Introduce cutting-edge learning modules: SOC Operations, OT/ICS Security, Cloud Security, AI in Cybersecurity, Red Teaming, Forensics, Web3 Security & more.
Academic Operations & Delivery Excellence
- Set academic delivery quality benchmarks across all partner institutions.
- Monitor faculty deployment, training timetables, student performance, and program feedback loops.
- Ensure strong governance, reporting, and regular academic audits.
Placement & Career Development Leadership
- Work with placement teams to ensure high conversion rates for cybersecurity roles.
- Build employer relationships with IT, cybersecurity, BFSI, consulting, and global technology companies.
- Enable internship pipelines, apprenticeship models, and industry-ready skill development tracks.
Revenue, Growth & P&L Ownership
- Own the academic business division P&L, revenue growth, partnerships expansion, and profitability.
- Conceptualize new academic revenue streams bootcamps, online learning, international programs, hackathons, talent incubators, etc.
Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Engage with Vice Chancellors, Directors, Principals, Government Bodies, and Industry Leaders.
- Represent TechD Cybersecurity in events, conferences, and global academic forums.
- Lead and mentor academic teams including trainers, coordinators, program managers, and placement leaders.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10-20 years of experience in academic leadership, ed-tech, skill development, or university relations.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity, IT, engineering education, or technology training ecosystems.
- Proven track record of managing large academic partnerships or multi-campus programs.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- MBA/M.Tech/PhD preferred; cybersecurity certifications (CEH, CHFI, Security+, etc.) are added advantages.
