Job Overview:
As a Diamond Buyer Executive at Diamonds On Call, you will play a pivotal role in the sourcing and acquisition of right-quality diamonds. This position involves establishing strong relationships with suppliers, strong computer skills, staying updated on industry trends, and ensuring our diamond inventory reflects the utmost standards of quality and authenticity.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

• Completing orders as per the orders from sales department with accuracy and timely manner.
• Identify and create relationships with reputable diamond suppliers globally.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure favorable agreements for the company.

Quality Assurance:

• Understand and maintain stringent quality control measures to ensure diamonds meet or exceed industry standards.
• Collaborate with gemologists and experts in the company for comprehensive quality assessments.

Market Analysis:

• Stay informed about market trends, pricing dynamics, and emerging industry developments.
• Analyze market conditions to anticipate shifts in demand and supply.

Documentation and Compliance:

• Ensure all necessary documentation, certifications, and compliance standards are met for each diamond purchase.
• Prepare documents for logistical supports to get diamonds delivered to our office
• Verify purchase documents and invoices for details and pricing.
• Stay informed about legal and ethical considerations in diamond sourcing.

Relationship Building:

• Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with diamond suppliers, dealers, and industry professionals.
• Professionally represent the company at industry events and trade shows.

Reporting:

In this role, you will work closely with sales & technical support department. You will be responsible for providing regular updates, progress reports, and key insights to your manager on weekly monthly and quarterly basis, addressing any challenges and contributing to the overall success of the department

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or certification in Gemology or Business, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Diamond Buyer or in a similar role within the diamond industry.
• In-depth knowledge of diamond grading, quality assessment, and industry trends.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with ethical and marketable considerations related to diamond procurement.
