DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS services, Docker, and Groovy scripting to design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS DevOps Pipeline using AWS services like ECS and EC2. The ideal candidate will have experience in automating CI/CD pipelines, managing containerized applications, and optimizing deployment processes. Strong collaboration and communication skills are required for effective teamwork across development, QA, and operations teams. Experience in implementing ECS disaster recovery strategies to ensure high availability is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Containerization & Orchestration:

  Develop and manage Docker containers and deploy applications using AWS ECS, EC2 or EKS.

• CI/CD Pipeline Development:

  Build and automate CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Groovy, GitHub, etc.

• Disaster Recovery Planning:

  Implement and manage disaster recovery strategies for ECS workloads, ensuring business continuity and minimal downtime.

• Scripting & Automation:

  Write and maintain Groovy scripts for Jenkins pipelines and other automation tasks.

• Collaboration & Communication:

  Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment processes and resolve issues promptly.

• Monitoring & Optimization:

  Implement monitoring solutions using AWS CloudWatch and other tools to ensure system reliability and performance.

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:

  Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure using services like EC2, ECS, VPC, and CloudWatch.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in AWS services: ECS, EC2, EKS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, etc.
• Strong experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, AWS ECS, EC2, etc.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
• Scripting expertise in Groovy, Python, Shell, or Bash, PowerShell

• Disaster Recovery Expertise:

• Experience in implementing ECS disaster recovery strategies, including backup and restore, failover mechanisms, and cross-region replication.
• Knowledge of AWS services like AWS Backup, Route 53, and CloudFormation for disaster recovery.

• Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication, co-ordination and collaboration abilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
