DevOps Engineer

ABBREVIATIONS CI/CD - Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment Delivery AWS - Amazon Web Services EC2 - Elastic Compute Cloud S3 - Simple Storage Service RDS - Relational Database Service SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle SCOPE OF WORK The role of a DevOps Engineer requires hands-on experience with Hetzner services, Linux system administration, and AWS services. The individual should be proficient in implementing modern DevOps practices such as CI/CD, Docker, and scripting. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to enhance system performance, automate processes, and improve software delivery pipelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Linux Administration Perform daily Linux system administration tasks, including system setup, monitoring, and performance optimization 2. Hetzner Services Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using Hetzner services. 3. Scripting & Automation Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Bash, or other scripting languages to automate processes and tasks. 4. CI/CD Pipeline Management Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Experience with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent is a plus. 5. Containerization with Docker Implement and manage containerized applications using Docker (good to have), ensuring scalability, resilience, and smooth integration into existing systems. 6. Cloud Services (AWS) Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation (good to have) to support and enhance infrastructure. 7. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to support and improve the software development lifecycle (SDLC). DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years of overall experience 3 years of experience in Linux system administration Proven experience with Hetzner services Experience or knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) Hands-on experience or familiarity with Docker for containerization 3 years of experience with AWS services (good to have) such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience in MIS reporting and data analytics REQUIREMENTS (UG - B.Tech/B.E. in Computers / IT, B.Sc in IT, BCA) OR (PG - MCA in Computers, M.Tech in Computers) Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash
