Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team at International School. The ideal candidate will provide first-level technical support for staff, faculty, and administrative users, ensuring the smooth functioning of hardware, software, and network systems across the campus. Key Responsibilities: Provide timely support for desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, and other end-user devices. Diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues (Windows, Mac, and Chrome OS). Manage user accounts, email setups, and network permissions. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and applications as per school IT policies. Support AV systems used in classrooms and event halls. Maintain asset inventory and ensure IT equipment is properly tagged and documented. Escalate unresolved issues to higher-level IT support or external vendors when required. Provide technical guidance and support to teachers and staff during school hours and events. Maintain compliance with school IT security policies and perform regular system updates. Assist in maintaining backup systems and monitoring internet connectivity. Required Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field. 2+ years of experience in desktop support role. Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, macOS, MS Office, and basic networking (LAN/Wi-Fi, routers). Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance and troubleshooting. Good interpersonal and communication skills to assist non-technical users. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Prior experience in a school/educational institution is a plus. Working Hours: Monday to Saturday (as per school schedule). Flexibility required during school events or emergencies.
