Data Entry Operator/ Desktop Processing Operator


Key Responsibilities:

  • Input text and numerical data from source documents (paper, digital forms, scanned files) into databases, spreadsheets, or data management systems.
  • Review documents for

    accuracy and resolve inconsistencies before or after entry

    .
  • Update existing data records and perform regular backups to safeguard data integrity.
  • Conduct quality checks to correct errors or discrepancies and ensure clean data entry.
  • Organize and manage both digital and physical records for easy retrieval.
  • Generate data reports, summaries, and statistics as needed for management or audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues and improve workflows.
  • Maintain confidentiality and

    follow data protection policies

    when handling sensitive or personal information.
  • Assist with clerical tasks such as scanning, filing, printing, and basic administrative support.
  • Indexing and

    processing suppliers’ invoices with zero error rate

    .
  • Sending emails to the quality analyst if the invoices are incorrectly prepared.
  • Processing check requests and credit memos on a priority basis.
  • Handling Emails – identifying, splitting, registering, and processing.
  • Ability to handle emails on customer status, complaints, and clarification from clients.
  • Point of contact in communicating with vendors in cases of illegible documents.


Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education (e.g., bachelor’s, diploma) is a plus.
  • Proven

    experience in data entry, clerical, or similar roles

    .
  • Fast and accurate typing abilities and familiarity with touch typing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word), Google Suite, and basic database software.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free work.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle confidential data securely and with discretion.
