Position: Fashion Designer – Sourcing Location: Mayapuri, Delhi (On-site) Company: TailorWorks Pvt. Ltd. Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and creative Fashion Designer – Sourcing who can bridge design vision with material execution. This role involves extensive fabric and trim sourcing, vendor development, cost optimization, and ensuring that the design team has access to high-quality materials in line with the brand’s seasonal vision and production needs. Key Responsibilities: Research and source high-quality fabrics, trims, buttons, accessories, and embellishments for bespoke menswear and womenswear collections. Collaborate with design and production teams to understand fabric requirements for sampling and production. Identify and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and mills for best rates, quality, and lead times. Build and maintain a strong vendor base across Delhi/NCR and other sourcing hubs. Coordinate sample swatches, approvals, and lab dips to match color and quality requirements. Maintain a structured fabric library with specifications, rates, vendor details, and usage history. Stay up to date with textile innovations, market trends, sustainable materials, and price fluctuations. Ensure timely procurement of materials without compromising on quality or design integrity. Work closely with the production team to avoid sourcing-related delays. Qualifications & Skills: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field. 2–4 years of experience in sourcing or fashion design roles with sourcing exposure. Strong knowledge of textiles, fabric construction, garment trims, and production flow. Excellent negotiation, communication, and market research skills. Experience in luxury/premium fashion is a strong plus. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple vendors, and meet tight timelines.
