Design Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer with strong experience in SolidWorks and CAD to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in turning client requirements into precise, production-ready designs. You will collaborate closely with Production and Sales teams and occasionally interact with clients to fully understand their functional and aesthetic needs. Key Responsibilities · Create 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks and other CAD software. · Work directly with the sales team to translate customer requirements into design solutions. · Visit clients (as needed) to gather detailed specifications and assess on-site conditions. · Develop detailed manufacturing drawings , assembly instructions , and BOMs for production. · Coordinate with production team to ensure feasibility, material compatibility & cost-efficiency of designs. · Revise and optimize designs based on production feedback and real-world testing. · Continuously explore and implement design improvements and innovation. Requirements · Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. · 1+ years of experience in product/equipment design, preferably in manufacturing or hospitality equipment. · Proficient in SolidWorks , AutoCAD , and other design software. · Good understanding of manufacturing processes , materials, and mechanical standards. · Strong communication skills for inter-department coordination and client interactions. · Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail. Preferred Qualities · Experience in sheet metal or commercial kitchen equipment design is a plus. · Ability to balance aesthetic and functional aspects in design. · Team player with a hands-on attitude and strong work ethic.
