Bachelor’s Degree in:

• B.Tech in Mechanical

Design Engineer: Qualifications Educational Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering
• Optional: Diploma in Mechanical.

Certifications (Optional but valuable):

• CAD software certifications (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
• Project management certifications
• ISO standards or GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) knowledge

Key Responsibilities of a Design Engineer

Concept Development:

• Create ideas, sketches, and rough drawings of machinery parts, assemblies, or products
• Analyze design feasibility, costs, and performance expectations

3D Modelling & Drafting:

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD models
• Create assembly drawings, part drawings, and BOM (Bill of Materials)

Prototyping & Testing:

• Assist in building prototypes of the design
• Test designs under various conditions and revise accordingly

Design Analysis:

• Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and motion simulations
• Optimize design for durability, performance, and cost-effectiveness

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain design records, change logs, and technical documentation
• Present design reports to project teams and management

Coordination & Collaboration:

• Work with production, quality control, procurement, and service departments
• Ensure the final product aligns with design specifications and standards

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in Solid Works software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
• Problem-solving and creative thinking
• Strong knowledge of Design and Engineering
• Analytical abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
