Design Engineer with Drafting Experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer with Drafting Experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural design and a strong proficiency in industry-standard software tools such as Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Tekla, 3ds Max, and BIM. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and detailing structural components for a variety of construction projects, ensuring that they meet all relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Structural Design & Analysis: Perform structural design and analysis for various projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings.

Software Proficiency: Utilize Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Tekla, 3ds Max, and BIM for modeling, drafting, and detailing structural components.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to develop integrated designs.

Documentation: Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and reports.

Quality Control: Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Project Management: Manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget.

BIM Coordination: Participate in BIM coordination meetings, resolving clashes and ensuring seamless integration of all disciplines.

Innovation: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve design efficiency and accuracy.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design with proven experience in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Tekla, 3ds Max, and BIM.

Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is preferred.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in structural design software and tools (Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Tekla, 3ds Max, BIM).

Strong understanding of building codes, construction standards, and structural principles.

Ability to perform complex structural calculations and simulations.
