Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and development: Create new product designs and improve existing ones by developing innovative solutions.
• Modeling and prototyping: Use CAD software to create 3D models, drawings, and prototypes of products.
• Testing and analysis: Conduct testing on prototypes to ensure functionality, performance, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Collaboration: Work with managers, R&D teams, production, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and discuss specifications.
• Manufacturing supervision: Oversee the manufacturing process for their designs, including creating manufacturing drawings and monitoring production.
• Research: Research new product ideas, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records and draft technical documentation for new products.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on activities and present designs and test results to project managers and other stakeholders.

Requirements and skills

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is often required.
• Experience: Previous experience as a design engineer or in a similar role.
• Technical skills: Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) is a significant plus. Experience with other software like CAE is also beneficial.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for overcoming design challenges.
• Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed for presenting ideas and working with others.
• Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail is critical for ensuring accuracy in designs and documentation.
• Creativity: The ability to generate innovative ideas and bring them to fruition.
• Collaboration: The capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Software Knowledge- CREO 11.0, ZWCADD 2023.
• New design concept & Developing.
• Design knowledge in DIES plastic & casting developing. Detailing work & laser drawing preparation
