Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

Location: Okhla Phase 2, New Delhi
Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks and end-to-end project execution. The candidate will be responsible for concept design, drafting, machine assembly supervision, testing, installation, and post-installation documentation. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership qualities, and the ability to manage multiple project stages effectively.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign & Drafting

• Utilize SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assembly design, and drafting.
• Apply mechanical design principles and machine component knowledge.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing and engineering drawings.
• Apply ISO standard tolerances and fits in all drawings.

Project Execution

• Full project ownership including:
• Concept design
• Manufacturing drawings
• Machine assembly
• Testing & trials
• Validation
• Customer site installation
• Prepare post-installation documentation and MOM (Minutes of Meeting) for sign-off.
• Ensure project timelines and quality standards are consistently met.

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of engineering materials, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and create pneumatic/hydraulic schematic diagrams.
• Conduct quality inspection using tools such as:
• Digital Vernier Caliper
• Digital Micrometer
• Height Gauge
• Dial Test Indicator
• Puppy Dial
• Slip Gauge
• Angle Protractor

Assembly & Installation

• Oversee machine assembly and ensure compliance with drawing specifications.
• Supervise installation and commissioning at customer sites.

Team & Client Coordination

• Lead and coordinate with internal team members.
• Maintain effective communication with clients during all project stages.
• Handle project handover, customer communication, and formal MOM completion.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency (mandatory).
• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Good communication and team-handling skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
