Design Engineer

To develop accurate and innovative design solutions for modular furniture/products using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, ensuring manufacturability, functionality, and alignment with client and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Create 2D/3D drawings in AutoCAD for layouts, detailing, and production purposes.
✅ Develop 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks for visualization, BOM extraction, and design validation.
✅ Generate detailed drawings for manufacturing with tolerances, exploded views, and material specifications.✅ Collaborate with production, purchase, and sales teams to ensure design feasibility and cost optimization.✅ Perform design modifications as per customer feedback and site conditions.✅ Maintain organized design documentation and drawing libraries.✅ Support in prototyping and product development trials if required.✅ Participate in design review and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to modular furniture/metal fabrication.
• Understanding of GD&T and material standards.
• Good visualization and attention to detailing.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with adherence to timelines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Qualification:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or related field.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in design using AutoCAD and SolidWorks (freshers with strong portfolios may also be considered).

• Timely preparation of 2D and 3D drawings for production.
• Zero errors in BOM and drawings impacting manufacturing.
• Implementation of design improvements based on feedback.
• On-time support for project execution teams.

• % adherence to project deadlines for design release.
• Number of design reworks due to errors.
• Client/internal team feedback on design quality.
• Cycle time reduction in design processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
