Project Name : DPR Preparation for Interception & Diversion and STP Works across 21 ULBs in Bihar under SBM 2.0 for UDHD, Bihar

Urban Development & Housing Department (UDHD), Government of Bihar

Design Engineer Sewerage & Water Supply Projects

Key Responsibilities

Assist in
DPR preparation
for sewerage, interception & diversion works.
Carry out
design of sewerage networks
including hydraulic calculations, alignment planning, and sizing.
Support design activities related to
STPs
, pumping stations, and associated infrastructure.
Prepare and review drawings, layouts, and design documents using standard design software.
Ensure designs comply with
CPHEEO guidelines
,
SBM 2.0 norms
, and applicable state regulations.
Assist in preparing
technical notes, design reports, BOQs, and DPR documentation
.
Coordinate with internal teams, survey teams, and UDHD officials during DPR development.
Support preparation of
presentations, progress reports, and submissions
to client authorities.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering
(mandatory).
Minimum 2 years of experience
in
design of sewerage networks
.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
and familiarity with sewerage design tools (e.g., SewerCAD or Sewergems or similar).
Understanding of CPHEEO manuals and urban water/wastewater infrastructure standards.
Resident of Patna, Bihar
or willing to be based in Patna (mandatory).
Ability to join immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in
DPR preparation
for
SBM / AMRUT / urban infrastructure projects
.
Exposure to
STP or pumping station designs
.
Familiarity with government project documentation and approval processes.
