Design Engineer

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Design Engineer – NPD to join our New Product Development team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Unigraphics NX and a strong background in automotive accessory design. This role involves end-to-end product design and development of cabin mats, boot mats, mud flaps and other interior/exterior components for leading OEM customers.

• Develop 3D models and 2D detailed drawings using Unigraphics NX as per design and OEM standards.
• Design and develop automotive accessories ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and manufacturability.
• Participate in concept creation, feasibility studies, DFMEA, and design validation.
• Collaborate with tooling, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support prototype build, fitment trials, and testing activities at various development stages.
• Conduct design reviews and implement design changes based on feedback and testing results.
• Prepare and maintain all relevant design documentation including BOMs, ECNs, and design reports.
• Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive / Production Engineering.
• Experience: 2–5 years in product design within the automotive or Tier-1 supplier environment.
• Software Expertise: Strong proficiency in Unigraphics NX ; knowledge of CATIA or SolidWorks will be an advantage.
• Technical Competencies:
• Plastic part and surface design for automotive components.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (injection molding, Vaccume forming, rubber molding).
• Sound knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Familiarity with DFMEA, DVP, and product validation processes.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and project coordination skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
