Job Title: Design Engineer – Sheet Metal Tool Design

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer specializing in Sheet Metal Tool Design, including press tools, progressive tools, and stamping dies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing sheet metal tools used in manufacturing processes. The role requires proficiency in CAD software, an understanding of metal forming principles, and the ability to work closely with production teams to ensure tool efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop sheet metal press tools, progressive dies, and stamping tools based on project requirements.
• Create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for manufacturing.
• Conduct feasibility analysis and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) studies to optimize tool performance.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for tool construction.
• Work closely with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot and improve tool performance.
• Conduct tool trials, validation, and modifications as needed.
• Implement cost-effective solutions and design modifications to enhance tool longevity and efficiency.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Document designs, modifications, and test results for future reference.
• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source tool components and materials.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in sheet metal tool design, progressive tool design, and stamping die development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or UG NX).
• Strong understanding of metal forming processes, die design principles, and tool manufacturing techniques.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and material properties.
• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools is an added advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
