Design Engineer (Mechanical)

As a Design Engineer Trainee, you will play a crucial role in assisting the design and development of sheet metal tooling and stamping components. Your main responsibilities include: - Assisting in designing and developing sheet metal tooling and stamping components using CAD software like SolidWorks or AutoCAD. - Collaborating with the design team to create 2D and 3D models, prototypes, and test parts. - Ensuring the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of designs by working closely with the manufacturing team. - Testing and validating sheet metal tooling and stamping components. - Documenting design and testing results. - Participating in design reviews and brainstorming sessions for innovative solutions. Qualifications required for this role include: - A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. - Strong knowledge of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks or AutoCAD. - Experience or a strong interest in sheet metal tooling and stamping design. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Effective communication and teamwork abilities. - Capacity to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Willingness to learn, grow, and stay updated with industry trends. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule and a yearly bonus structure. A diploma is required for education, and one year of experience in Tool Design and SolidWorks is preferred and required, respectively.
