We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Design Engineer Trainee. Your main responsibility will be to support the design and development of sheet metal tooling and stamping components. The ideal candidate should have a strong passion for mechanical engineering and a keen interest in learning and advancing in a dynamic work setting. You will be assisting in creating sheet metal tooling and stamping components using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Collaborating with the design team, you will be involved in generating 2D and 3D models, prototypes, and testing parts. Working closely with the manufacturing team, you will ensure that designs are feasible and cost-effective. Your role will also include participating in the testing and validation of sheet metal tooling and stamping components. You will be an active part of design reviews and brainstorming sessions to contribute to innovative solutions. Documenting design processes and test results will be essential for future reference and enhancement. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks or AutoCAD, is required. An understanding or interest in sheet metal tooling and stamping design is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, communication skills, and teamwork capabilities are vital for this role. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and stay updated on industry trends in sheet metal tooling and stamping technology are key attributes we are looking for.
