We are expanding our engineering team and looking for a talented Design Engineer for crane and structural equipment design.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineer with experience in designing EOT cranes, hoists, structural assemblies, fabrication components, and related lifting equipment.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of design standards, load calculations, 2D/3D drafting, and manufacturing drawings.

Key Responsibilities1. Crane & Structural Design

• Design EOT cranes, gantry cranes, jib cranes, hoists, and lifting mechanisms.
• Perform structural/load calculations, factor of safety, and material selection.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, GA drawings, BOM, and technical specifications.

2. Mechanical/Electrical Design Responsibilities

• Create detailed drawings in AutoCAD/SolidWorks/Inventor.
• Design mechanical components (girder, trolley, wheels, gearbox, drums, shafts).
• For electrical stream: prepare control panel layout, wiring diagrams, load calculation, LT panel understanding.
• Ensure compliance with IS/ISO standards for crane design.

3. Coordination & Technical Support

• Work closely with production, purchase, QC, and installation teams.
• Provide design clarifications, technical support, and documentation for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with vendors for fabrication feasibility and cost optimization.

4. BOM & Documentation

• Prepare complete Bill of Materials for each project.
• Maintain revision control, design files, calculation sheets, and project folders.
• Support management with technical reports and client documentation.

5. Quality & Safety Alignment

• Ensure designs meet safety, durability, and performance requirements.
• Support in third-party inspection documentation when required.

Requirements

• Diploma / BE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 1–10 years of experience in crane design / structural design / heavy fabrication design
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD (3D preferred), SolidWorks
• Understanding of IS standards for cranes (IS 3177, IS 807, etc.)
• Ability to calculate load, stress, lifting capacity, and structural design parameters
• Good communication and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in EOT / Gantry crane design
• Knowledge of motors, brakes, VFDs, control panels (for electrical candidates)
• Exposure to fabrication, machining, and assembly process
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
