Job Title: Design Engineer
We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Engineer with a strong in CAD design for automotive interior trims. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design standards, materials, and ergonomics in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of concepts, layouts, and design solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in design reviews and provide inputs based on technical feasibility and domain standards.
- Maintain proper documentation of designs, changes, and version control within PLM systems.
- Ensure timely delivery of design deliverables as per project timelines.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in CAD design of automotive interior trims.
- Strong proficiency in UG-NX (Unigraphics) for 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
- In-depth domain knowledge of automotive interior trims – materials, design standards, packaging, and ergonomics.
- Solid understanding of plastic and sheet metal part design, including tooling, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and BOM creation.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with PLM systems for documentation and version control.
