Job Description

Job Title: Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced Design Engineer with a strong in CAD design for automotive interior trims. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design standards, materials, and ergonomics in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

Support the development of concepts, layouts, and design solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Participate in design reviews and provide inputs based on technical feasibility and domain standards.
Maintain proper documentation of designs, changes, and version control within PLM systems.
Ensure timely delivery of design deliverables as per project timelines.

Essential Skills

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in CAD design of automotive interior trims.
Strong proficiency in UG-NX (Unigraphics) for 3D modeling and 2D drawings.
In-depth domain knowledge of automotive interior trims – materials, design standards, packaging, and ergonomics.
Solid understanding of plastic and sheet metal part design, including tooling, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and BOM creation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with PLM systems for documentation and version control.
