Design Assistant Manager (HVAC)

Essential roles & responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough checks of heat load.

2. Verify machine selections to ensure suitability and efficiency for specific project needs.

3. Review static pressure calculations and pump head calculations to guarantee optimal system performance.

4. Provide clear instructions to draughtsman for the preparation of shop drawings.

5. Scrutinize drawings prepared by draughtsman for accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

6. Attend project meetings with architects to discuss design requirements.

7. Facilitate weekly review meetings to assess project status, identify issues, and plan next steps.

8. Coordinate closely with the project, purchase and sales teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Education: Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering

Required Experience: 7-8 yrs of planning in HVAC industry

Key skills & requirements:

1. Proficient in applied psychometry to analyze and understand environmental conditions and occupant comfort.

2. Expertise in heat load calculation to determine cooling requirements for various projects.

3. Thorough understanding of cooling system selection, including chill water design, VRF design, and clean room design.

4. Experience in HVAC electrical panel design, duct design, and pipe design for efficient system operation.

5. Skilled in static pressure calculation and pump head calculation to ensure proper system performance.

6. Proficient in selecting air handling units, fans, ADPs, pumps, and cooling towers based on project requirements.

7. Familiarity with drafting in AutoCAD for creating accurate design drawings.

8. Knowledgeable in using Hap Carrier for HVAC load calculations and system design.

9. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

10. Knowledge of National Building Codes (NBC) to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Andheri East, Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Design Airconditioning /HVAC: 6 years (Required)
