Role Summary

We are seeking a Deputy Manager for Strategy and Growth. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The Deputy Manager will work closely with management and the board to oversee the execution of strategic plans, ensuring continuous improvement and accountability. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing new initiatives, evaluating proposals, and fostering partnerships to drive growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Planning:
    • Lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
    • Ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Work closely with management to oversee the execution of strategic plans.
    • Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments.
  • Growth:
    • Evaluate and enhance the impact of existing programs.
    • Conceptualize new intervention areas, initiatives, and alliances.
    • Forge partnerships and collaborate with corporates, foundations, and government bodies.
  • Visibility & Representation:
    • Create innovative visibility plans and campaigns.
    • Enhance the organization's visibility on national and international platforms.
    • Provide thought leadership and represent the organization at important meetings and events.
  • Strategy Execution:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address barriers to successful strategy execution.
    • Provide guidance and support to department heads and managers in implementing strategic initiatives.
    • Conduct regular reviews and analysis of strategy execution efforts to identify areas for improvement.
    • Communicate and report on strategy execution progress to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Candidate Specification

  • Educational Qualification: MBA or a relevant master's degree.
  • Experience: Proven track record of successfully executing strategic initiatives.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
