Deputy Manager (Research and Institutional / Corporate Fundraising)

Established in 1995, Pragya is a non-governmental, development organization implementing projects in the remote and underserved regions of the world. The organization aims to deliver integrated and holistic development projects in the areas of gender, education, health, renewable energy, agriculture and water management, and disaster management. We invite applications for the following position:

Position: Deputy Manager (Research and Institutional / Corporate Fundraising)

Location: Gurgaon, India

Role:

a. Research: conducting research required for Pragya programmes and for design of new projects in the diverse areas; carrying out research studies and bringing out organizational publications.

b. Help with Fundraising: identifying potential donors among trusts and institutional or corporate funders, and help with submitting briefs / proposals, making presentations, and maintaining relationships with existing donors.

c. Promotion and Advocacy: building awareness about Pragya and its projects and activities; help in conducting conferences and managing its websites and discussion groups; representing the organization at forums.

Person Specification

The person will be required to be very self motivated and should ideally possess the following:

a. A minimum of 9 years of experience working in similar roles. Person with significantly higher experience would be placed at higher levels.

b. Masters degree or equivalent in development or a related field. Preference would be given to candidates with qualifications in Natural Resource Management or allied sciences.

c. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
