Deputy Manager - Purchase

Roles & Responsibilities

The Deputy Manager Purchase is responsible for end-to-end procurement operations, vendor management, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely availability of materials in compliance with quality, cost, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement activities including sending enquiries, negotiation, scheduling, and procurement of raw materials.
• Plan and arrange logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Oversee procurement and availability of packing materials.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to strengthen the supply base.
• Source inputs and materials for new product development initiatives.
• Arrange and coordinate material requirements for Research & Development (R&D).
• Liaise with the Quality Assurance department to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
• Coordinate with the Production department to align material availability with production planning schedules.
• Work closely with the Warehouse team to resolve documentation issues and manage daily material inflow.
• Coordinate with the Accounts & Finance department for timely disbursement of payments for purchased goods.
• Liaise with banks for opening Letters of Credit (LCs) and processing payments.
• Coordinate with Clearing House Agents (CHA) for import clearance activities.
• Control and manage export-related documentation.
• Prepare and analyze comparative statements for procurement decision-making.
