The Deputy Manager - Sales role focused on Chennai, with no travel involved in Tamil Nadu or Kerala. This role will primarily be based in Chennai, and the candidate will be responsible for managing project sales within the city itself. Job Title : Deputy Manager - Sales Location : Chennai, Tamil Nadu Industry : Construction Materials (Cement, Paint, TMT Bars, etc.) Position Overview : We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager - Sales to join our team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project sales within the construction materials industry, specifically TMT bars , cement , and paint, Building Material, PEB Structure This position is responsible for managing sales efforts within the Chennai region, engaging with contractors, builders, and project teams to drive sales and ensure smooth order processing, delivery, and payment follow-ups. Key Responsibilities : Sales Management : Oversee the sales of construction materials (TMT bars, cement, paint, etc.) within the Chennai market. Build and maintain strong relationships with local contractors, builders, engineers, and project managers. Project Sales Focus : Focus on securing project sales by targeting contractors and large-scale projects in the region. Provide product recommendations, quotes, and project solutions based on customer needs. Customer Relationship Management : Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders within the construction industry, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. Invoicing and Payment Follow-up : Ensure timely invoicing for completed sales and actively follow up on payments to maintain a steady cash flow. Collaborate with the finance team to resolve any payment-related issues. Sales Reporting : Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and updates to senior management. Track project sales progress and identify new opportunities in the market. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams : Work closely with the operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and timely delivery. Market Insights and Competitor Analysis : Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of market demands. Key Requirements : Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project sales within the construction materials industry, with a strong preference for experience in TMT bars , cement , and paint . Local Market Knowledge : Familiarity with the construction market and industry dynamics in Chennai . Sales Expertise : Proven track record of managing and growing sales in the construction sector, with a focus on project sales. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, persuade, and build strong relationships with clients. Organizational Skills : Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously. No Travel Required : This role is focused exclusively on the Chennai region, so travel outside of Chennai is not required. Preferred Skills : Experience working with contractors, architects, and builders in the Chennai region. Strong understanding of TMT bars and other construction materials or PEB Structure Ability to understand and meet client needs in terms of product specifications, delivery schedules, and pricing. Education : Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related fields. Additional certifications in sales or construction materials are a plus. .
