Deputy Manager - Payroll and Compliance

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

Payroll Management

• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
• Validate monthly payroll inputs (new joiners, exits, promotions, attendance, etc.) in SAP.
• Manage bonus, incentives, overtime, and final settlement calculations.
• Reconcile payroll reports and maintain payroll MIS.
• Coordinate with finance for salary disbursements and fund transfers.

2. Compliance Management

• Ensure adherence to statutory laws: PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Labour Welfare Fund (LWF), Professional Tax (PT), TDS, etc.
• Filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns (PF, ESI, TDS, etc.).
• Liaison with government agencies and ensure timely inspections, audits, and filings.
• Maintain compliance documentation for internal and external audits.

3. Audits & Reporting

• Handle internal and statutory audits related to payroll and compliance.
• Provide regular reports to HR Head and Finance on payroll cost, compliance status, and risk areas.
• Support annual budgeting and cost planning exercises related to C&B.

4. Process Improvement & Automation

• Implement payroll automation systems or upgrades SAP
• Continuously improve processes for better accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
• Monitor changes in tax and labor laws and update internal policies accordingly.

5. Team & Vendor Management

• Supervise any junior staff or payroll vendor resources.
• Manage payroll and compliance-related vendors; review SLAs and deliverables.

Educational Background and Work Experience

Educational Background :

• Graduation in any field, MBA HR
