Deputy Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage overall store operations including material receipt, storage, issue, and dispatch.
• Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
• Coordinate with production, purchase, planning, and logistics departments for material planning and timely availability.
• Ensure proper documentation of GRN, material issue slips, stock reports, and other inventory-related documentation in ERP / SAP or other systems.
• Implement FIFO, LIFO, and other material handling practices for effective inventory flow.
• Conduct regular physical stock audits, cycle counting, and reconciliation with system stocks.
• Ensure safe and systematic material storage, housekeeping, and adherence to 5S and safety standards.
• Analyze slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and coordinate for disposal or utilization.
• Manage vendor return processes for rejected or excess materials.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to inventory, material consumption, and stock aging.
• Lead, supervise, and train the store team to achieve operational excellence.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of store operations, inventory management, and material handling.
• Hands-on experience in ERP/SAP or similar store/inventory management systems.
• Good understanding of packaging and corrugation material handling (preferred).
• Knowledge of basic commercial terms like GRN, PO, MIS, BOM, FIFO, MRP, etc.
• Strong coordination, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
