Deputy Manager

What You’ll Do

• Create and implement best practice manufacturing strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
• Evaluate the challenges faced by the team and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
• Initiate & develop creative and innovative manufacturing processes
• Implement a customer focused operational culture delivering world class customer service levels
• Develop and manage master production schedule and operations budgets for products to directly support and ensure that the product is delivered to agreed cost, quality and timelines
• Analyze budgets and continuously control production costs and identify/rectify waste measures
• Analyzing manpower competencies, optimum manpower planning, providing adequate training to bridge skill gaps and thereby ensuring potential manpower to support the company's growth.
• Ensuring appropriate documentation, and process follow up as per QMS standards.
• Support project management to cross functional activity required for project execution
• Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered to
• Ensure strong communication between teams to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements
• Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues and procedures as appropriate
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
• Report on Manufacturing activities on a regular basis to the Management team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators
• Follow lean manufacturing principles
• Should have team Handling Experience managing a team of 30- to 40 Reportees .
  

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering ,Experience of min 10 yrs in handling a CNC Machine Shop and team of supervisors & operators
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - 20 Years of Experience
  

Skills

• Experience in handling Aluminum commodity will be preferred.
• Proficient with ERP systems & preferably MFG Pro.
• Proficient with all MS office products.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills
• A good team player.
• Language: Fluency in English & Tamil is required. Other South Indian languages an added advantage.
• Capable of interfacing with all levels of management.
