Lead the entire procurement function, including: Raw materials (e.g., aluminium, steel, fasteners, welding inputs), Semi-finished and bought-out components, Consumables, packing materials, maintenance spares, Capital equipment and engineering services
Build and manage a high-performance team comprising: 34 Managers, 810 Executives and support staff
Drive effective sourcing strategies across all categories, ensuring cost competitiveness and timely availability.
Develop and maintain a robust vendor base, manage performance, and reduce single-source dependencies.
Own and implement cost control measures, including: Should-cost modelling, Price benchmarking, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, Negotiation strategies
Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Design, Stores, and Finance to align procurement with business needs.
Evaluate and streamline the procurement process, including supplier onboarding, audits, contracts, and compliance.
Monitor procurement risks and implement strategies to ensure supply continuity and risk mitigation.
Ensure accurate documentation, purchase order controls, and audit-ready systems at all times.
Systems & Process Orientation:
Strong command over ERP-based procurement systems is essential (SAP / Oracle / other). Should be capable of driving digitization and process discipline across the team. Experience in setting up or improving procurement processes will be an advantage.
BE/B.tech engineering graduate having hands on experience in sourcing, vendor management, and cost control activities across raw materials, consumables, capital goods, and services.
