Job Description

The Datacentre Operator will be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of our data center infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role requires a proactive approach to managing hardware and software systems, responding to alerts, and implementing best practices in data center operations.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain data center equipment, including servers, networking devices, and power systems.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of data center infrastructure.
Ensure all systems are up and running, responding to alerts and incidents as they arise.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software in the data center.
Maintain documentation of data center operations, equipment, and procedures.
Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate system upgrades and expansions.
Implement and enforce data center policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

6-8 years of experience in data center operations or a related field.
Strong understanding of server hardware, networking, and data center infrastructure.
Proficiency in monitoring tools and data center management software.
Knowledge of power and cooling systems used in data centers.
Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
