Databricks Engineer

One of our biggest entertainment clients is looking to bring on a new Data Engineer to support a Oracle migration. Fintech team is upgrading their Oracle apps to Oracle Cloud. As part of that uplift, they are migrating data from existing SAP applications to Oracle Fusion. There is a brand new implementation of a data lake and data warehouse for fintech. There is a brand new initiative where they are bringing in data from multiple ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, SAP, Salesforce Data) and dumping this data into Databricks. From there, they will create meta-linear architecture, refine the data, and create reporting. This person will primarily be focusing on data engineering activities. They will be working with ETL scripts. This person will leverage the existing architecture and landscape to extract new datasets into data bricks and try adhering to the standards of the data. Required: · 5+ years of experience working in data warehousing systems · 3+ strong hands-on programming expertise in Databricks landscape, including SparkSQL, Workflows for data processing and pipeline development · 3+ strong hands-on data transformation/ETL skills using Spark SQL, Pyspark, Unity Catalog working in Databricks Medallion architecture · 2+ yrs work experience in one of cloud platforms: Azure, AWS or GCP Nice to Have Skills & Experience: · ERP implementation experience - Oracle or SAP · Finance experience / background Pay range is $15-$20 USD per hour, and benefit packages are available at a discount from Day 1 of employment.
