Job Description

As a Database Support Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in setting up, configuring, administering, and maintaining multiple production and development environments comprising both Relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and others. **Role and Responsibilities:** - Collaborate closely with the tech team to design, build, and operate the database infrastructure. - Assist the tech team in identifying optimal solutions for various data-related challenges, including data modeling, reporting, and data search. - Work with deployment staff to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the database infrastructure. **Requirements:** - Preferably hold a BE/BTech degree from a premier institute. - Proficient in SQL Server/PostgreSQL database administration, maintenance, and tuning. - Experience in database clustering, high availability, replication, backup, auto-recovery, and pooling (e.g., pgpool2). - Good working knowledge of Logging and Monitoring tools like Nagios, Prometheus, PG-badger, POWA, Data-Dog, etc. - Expertise in reading complex execution plans and query optimization. - Sound understanding of various indices, views, partitioning, aggregation, window functions, and caching. - Familiarity with the latest features in PostgreSQL versions 11/12 and above. - Prior experience working with AWS and their database-related services, such as RDS, is essential. - Working experience with other databases like Oracle, MySQL is desirable. - Knowledge of NoSQL technologies is a plus.
