Database Support Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide support for database systems and applications, ensuring stability, reliability, and availability.

Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL and PL/SQL code to meet business requirements.

Perform SQL performance tuning and apply PLSQL optimization techniques for complex queries and procedures.

Analyze and resolve issues related to database performance and application queries.

Design database solutions with focus on scalability, security, and best practices.

Conduct Unit Testing (UTs) and ensure adherence to code quality standards.

Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust database support.

Maintain proper documentation for design, processes, and code changes

Must have:

Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development.

Hands-on experience with SQL performance tuning and PL/SQL optimization techniques.

High-level understanding of Oracle database architecture.

Experience with designing database solutions, writing unit tests (UTs), and maintaining code quality standards.

Nice to have:

Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud).

Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices for database deployment and automation.

Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines for database changes
