Job Description

Database SME (Oracle & SQL)

Key Responsibilities

Database Administration

Oracle (12c, 19c)
Oversee database architecture, upgrades, and migrations.

Performance Optimization

Conduct query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and in-memory processing to enhance database performance.

Security & Compliance

Implement RBAC, encryption, auditing, and data masking.
PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2

Backup & Recovery

RMAN, Data Pump, SQL Server Always On

High Availability & Disaster Recovery

Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC, SQL Server Always On, and Failover Clustering

Automation & Scripting

PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell, Python, and Ansible

Incident & Problem Management

Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, connectivity failures, and outages in production environments.

Cloud & Hybrid Database Management

AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Oracle Cloud

Monitoring & Reporting

Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), SQL Server Profiler, Prometheus, and Splunk

Collaboration & Documentation

Work with cross-functional teams and maintain detailed documentation of database architectures, policies, and recovery procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years

security, encryption, and compliance standards
PL/SQL, T-SQL, PowerShell, Python, or Ansible

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in production environments.
