Key Responsibilities: β Oversee the performance, availability, and security of enterprise SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases. β Implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans. β Proactively monitor database health, perform capacity planning, and tune performance. β Lead database upgrades, patching, and migration activities. β Ensure compliance with data security policies and regulatory requirements. β Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams for integrated solutions. β Automate database deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using PowerShell/Shell scripting. β Mentor a team of DBAs, promote best practices, and conduct regular knowledge sessions. β Manage database vendor relationships for support and licensing. Required Skills & Qualifications: β 10+ years of hands-on experience in SQL Server Administration. β Expertise in Always On Availability Groups, Clustering, and Performance Tuning. β Working knowledge of PostgreSQL is desirable (basic to intermediate). β Familiarity with PowerShell or Shell scripting for automation is a plus. β Strong leadership and team mentoring experience. β Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. β Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with deadlines. β Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience.
