Location:

India,PuneWe’re looking for a Database developer who is an excellent SQL programmer and has very good experience with Query optimization. In this role, you will be expected to work autonomously and contribute to several high impact projects including optimizing all application touchpoints with the database systems.

You will need to work in Central time 7:30 am to 5 pm i.e. 6 PM to 3:30 AM IST during DST and needs to work in Central time 7:30 am to 5 pm i.e. 7 PM to 4:30 AM IST during DST savings

You will be part of a team which will have on-call duties outside CST business hours as well, and you will need to respond to high-priority incident pager.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

3+ years of experience working with MS-SQL Programming including Query tuning and troubleshooting, Performance Optimization, Execution plan analysis.
Extensive experience with Advanced SQL Features like Indexing, Partitioning decisions to balance scale and consistency, etc.
Ability to train and mentor applications developers on best database practices.
Ability to participate in and contribute to code management in GitHub.
Actively collaborating in peer-reviews, feature branches, and resolving conflicts and commits.
Experience with continuous integration and delivery.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with microservices, Kafka and NoSQL databases would be nice to have.

Must Have Skills

3+ years of proficiency with MS-SQL and Postgres-SQL.
1+ years of experience working with PowerShell.
Solid understanding of database best practices
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to data security and governance best practices
Experience with distributed data processing systems
Strong understanding of performance optimization techniques for data queries
Exposure to NoSQL and Azure is a plus.

Strong team and individual player
Maintains composure during all types of situations and is collaborative by nature.
High standards of professionalism, consistently producing high quality results
Self-sufficient, independent requiring very little supervision or intervention
