Description
We are looking for The SQL DBA is responsible for managing, maintaining and optimizing SQL Server database to ensure their high performance, security and availability. Role & responsibilities : SQL Server DBA will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server RDBMS systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our corporate applications. MS SQL Server DBA L2/L3 Level Support for SQL Server: 2022 / 2019 / 2017 / 2016 / 2014 Hands on technical experience with AG replica failover/Failback and HA-DR Solutions (Log shipping / Replication / Mirroring). Experience in Database Administration including Installation, Configuration, User Access Management, Backup/Recovery, Monitoring and Performance Tuning, Space Utilization. Troubleshoot issues related to SQL Backup Restore, DB performance, Shrink DB files, Blocking and deadlock, SQL Server Build including Post QA checks. SQL Server Upgradation / Patching on Always ON / Standby servers. Perform system health checks and provide recommendation reports. PowerShell programming experience preferred (would like to automate sql installs, and other processes) DB maintenance plans, Plan and Perform Patching (pre and post checks), Server Decommissioning Administration and refinement for Monitoring tools: Review, revise, and update monitoring thresholds and alerts to enable infrastructure stability. Installation/Upgradation/Migration of SQL Servers. Apply any patches or service packs for SQL Server. Configure High Availability/Disaster recovery solutions. Configure automated alerts to send a mail to team if any issues. Responsible for physical database architecture and design, capacity planning, development, performance tuning, implementation, and support of the applications from a database perspective. Conduct T- SQL Code Reviews to ensure coding standards, best practices and avoid potential performance issues. Attend CAB ( Change Advisory Board) meeting and get proper approvals from product owners to implement DB changes. Work on writing technical and RCA(Root Cause Analysis) documentation. Conduct DB DR Drill activity , ensure to bring the DR site online if any outage at Primary site. Provide day to day support of high OLTP HA of SQL Server databases- Identify root causes of production problems and work with developers to resolve such problems. Work on performance tuning like creating missing indexes. Work on Writing custom stored procedures, t-sql queries , powershell scripts , views, and triggers based on requiremens for DB maintenance and automate tasks. Troubleshoot locking issues, including deadlocks, blocking, lock timeouts and fix them Preferred candidate profile Have strong knowledge of application. Have strong lending/digital lending experience. Have deep knowledge of oracle/SQL and server-side technology/architecture Have thorough understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, Clustering Have troubleshooting skills Communication skills
