We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage, secure, and optimize our data environment across MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, strong performance, and smooth operations of all databases used across the organization.
· Perform regular health checks, performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
· Manage database backup strategies, restore procedures, replication, and failover setups.
· Monitor database performance using tools and implement proactive improvements.
· Ensure database security, user access management, and data protection policies.
· Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and version control.
· Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support application requirements.
· Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide root-cause analysis.
· Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and maintenance activities.
· Expertise in SQL query writing, optimization, and performance troubleshooting.
· Experience with high availability, clustering, replication, and sharding.
· Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
· Ability to handle production environments and 24/7 availability when needed.
· Scripting knowledge (Shell, Python).
· Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch).
· Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
