Data Scientist

Location: Bangalore, IndiaEmployment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our Analytics & Data Science team. In this role, you will develop, deploy, and optimize machine learning models that directly influence business decisions across credit, fraud, customer engagement, and more. You will work with large-scale structured and unstructured data in a fast-paced fintech environment.Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models using Python, Scikit-learn, and TensorFlow.
• Conduct time series analysis, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis to support business objectives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to solve problems in areas like credit risk, fraud detection, and customer behavior.
• Design and perform experiments to validate model performance.
• Create data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and Metabase to communicate insights effectively.
• Write efficient SQL (MySQL) queries for data extraction and transformation.
• Apply principles of probability and statistics to ensure rigorous analysis and model validation.
• Continuously monitor and improve model accuracy and business impact.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in Data Science or a similar analytical role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Pandas, and NumPy.
• Proficient in machine learning, time series analysis, and predictive analytics.
• Solid understanding of statistics, probability, and hypothesis testing.
• Experience with MySQL for data querying and transformation.
• Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Metabase.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Prior experience in the Fintech or Financial Analysis domain is a plus.
  

Nice to Have

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) or model deployment pipelines.
• Experience with A/B testing and experiment design.
• Knowledge of model interpretability techniques.
