Python Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Data Extraction & Analysis:

  Design, develop, and execute complex queries and Python scripts for list generation and data extraction from various sources.

• Legacy Code Modernization:

  Spearhead the conversion of legacy

  SAS

  code to more efficient

  Python

  and

  SQL

  scripts.

• Process Automation:

  Develop and implement robust automation solutions for data transformation and reporting to enhance efficiency and reliability.

• Large Dataset Management:

  Apply a solid understanding of data management principles to handle, process, and analyze large datasets effectively.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements, present data-driven insights, and support strategic decision-making.

• Problem Solving:

  Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure data integrity.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience:

  3+ years

• Core Languages:

  Strong hands-on experience with

  SQL

  ,

  Python

  , and

  SAS

  .

• Data Expertise:

  Proven expertise in

  list generation

  and

  complex data extraction

  .

• System Migration:

  Direct experience in converting legacy

  SAS

  code to

  Python

  and/or

  SQL

  .

• Domain Knowledge:

  Experience working in the

  Banking and Financial Services (BFS)

  domain.

• Soft Skills:

  Excellent communication skills with experience working directly with senior stakeholders.

Good to Have

• Experience with

  AWS

  or other cloud platforms.
• Experienced with Python data science packages like Pandas, numpy, sklearn etc.
• Understanding of shell scripting, python package development is a plus.
