Role Description

SkillzenLoop is looking for an intellectually curious Data Scientist Intern to help us extract value from our data. In this role, you will go beyond simple analysis to build predictive models, design experiments, and apply advanced statistical techniques to solve complex business problems. You will work at the intersection of mathematics, technology, and business strategy to drive innovation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Statistical Modeling: Apply various statistical and machine learning techniques to identify trends and build predictive prototypes.

• Data Wrangling: Clean and integrate large, complex datasets from multiple sources to prepare them for modeling.

• Algorithm Development: Assist in developing and testing custom algorithms to improve product features and user experience.

• Insight Communication: Interpret and communicate data insights to stakeholders through compelling storytelling and advanced visualization.

• Experimental Design: Assist in designing and analyzing A/B tests to measure the impact of new features or business strategies.

Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing or a recent graduate of a Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (Bachelors with strong projects also considered).

• Programming Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Python or R, specifically for data science applications.

• Mathematical Foundation: Deep understanding of linear algebra, calculus, and advanced probability/statistics.

• Tools: Experience with SQL and data science libraries (Scikit-learn, Pandas, Statsmodels, or PyTorch/TensorFlow).

• Curiosity: A strong desire to ask "why" and the persistence to find answers within complex datasets.
