Data Privacy Officer

Role Overview: As a Privacy Officer at our leading eCommerce company, you will be responsible for embedding robust privacy and data protection practices across our digital operations. Your mission will be to safeguard customer data while driving innovative growth. You will collaborate with a privacy office team to resolve privacy matters and ensure compliance on a monthly basis. Key Responsibilities: - Own and refine eCommerce-specific privacy workflows, aligning them with organizational standards and embedding best practices. - Keep the processing register current, audit for non-compliance, and drive corrective follow-ups. - Lead the response to privacy incidents by identifying, assessing, reporting, and resolving them. - Conduct or support Data Protection Impact Assessments for new and existing processing activities. - Develop and deliver impactful privacy training, keeping the eCommerce team informed of trends and regulations. - Review vendor contracts (DPAs, etc.) and flag privacy risks during new initiative reviews. Qualifications Required: - 3-7 years of experience in privacy management, compliance, IT risk, or related roles. - Experience with DPIAs, data breach response, and maintaining processing logs. - Certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT (IAPP) are a strong advantage. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. - Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion. - Understanding of eCommerce and digital business processes.
