Data Migration Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement data migration strategies including planning, automation, testing, and decommissioning
• Design and develop SAS jobs, leveraging SAS/Macro, SAS/SQL, and SAS/ACCESS
• Work on UNIX/Linux or Mainframe environments (JCL)
• Utilize Python or PySpark for data handling and automation
• Collaborate with teams on cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Manage and report project progress, risks, and issues effectively
• Optimize process performance and ensure scalability
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data privacy regulations

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in data migration/data management projects
• Strong hands-on with SAS (Base SAS, Macro, SQL)
• Proven migration strategy and execution experience
• Experience with

  Snowflake

  ,

  DBT

  , and

  Python

• Proficient in at least one database (SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-driven and capable of working independently or in a team
• Experience with

  financial or insurance data

  is a

  plus

• Knowledge of

  data modeling

  is a

  bonus

Nice to Have
