Role Overview: As a Data Governance Lead at Leapwork, you will play a key role in establishing and scaling the foundation of how data fuels smarter decisions across the business. You will be responsible for developing governance structures, standards, and processes from the ground up to shape greenfield data initiatives that define Leapwork's data-driven future. By turning complexity into clarity, you will enable the whole organization to execute with greater speed, precision, and impact, ultimately contributing to the company's journey to become a fully data-driven, AI-powered organization. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and Implement Frameworks: Design and deploy enterprise-wide data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices. - Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Establish processes and metrics to monitor and improve data quality, consistency, and accuracy. - Maintain Data Security and Compliance: Oversee data security measures and ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory compliance standards. - Manage Data Accessibility and Usability: Develop and maintain data catalogs and governance tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Azure Purview) to enhance visibility, accessibility, and trust in enterprise data assets. - Strategic Leadership: Provide leadership and strategic direction for the data governance program, aligning it with organizational goals and ensuring it supports new data architecture and analytics capabilities. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with IT, business units, and legal teams to drive data governance adoption and ensure alignment. - Risk Mitigation: Identify and address data-related risks, including those related to compliance and security. - Data Stewardship: Foster a culture of data stewardship, where individuals understand their roles in managing and protecting data. - Reporting and Metrics: Develop dashboards and reports to provide oversight and insight into key data governance activities and metrics. Qualifications Required: - Experience: 2 - 5 years of experience from a similar role. Experience working in environments where data functions are being established or scaled from scratch is highly valued. - Strategic Vision: The ability to develop a long-term vision for data governance within the organization. - Operational Expertise: Strong understanding of data management principles and practices. - Technical Acumen: A good understanding of technical aspects related to data systems, databases, and data models familiarity with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, or Snowflake is an advantage. - Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analytics to interpret raw data and provide actionable insights. - Data Governance Knowledge: Deep understanding of data quality, stewardship, and management principles. - Documentation Skills: Proven ability to define and maintain data definitions, lineage, and standards. - Stakeholder Collaboration: Experience partnering with technical and business teams to uphold governance practices. - Organizational Influence: Strong communication and coordination skills to drive adoption of governance frameworks. - Leadership: Ability to inspire cross-functional teams to adopt and embed governance practices. - Initiative: Hands-on and proactive in defining standards, tools, and workflows where none exist yet. - Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate governance concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Innovation Mindset: Eager to explore new tools and methodologies that enhance governance in modern, cloud-based data ecosystems.,
