Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside our data governance analyst and data quality architect to drive the deployment and configuration of Anomalo across our cloud data infrastructure.
• Work with data governance team for the Anomalo connector setup and initial monitoring of deployment, build out of custom quality rules, and alert workflow setup and monitoring.
• Monitor lineage, and asset metadata in Atlan: review flagged issues, follow upstream/downstream impacts, and coordinate remediation actions with data engineers, analyst and stakeholders when issues arise.
• Support ongoing governance work in in Atlan: assist in access requests, onboarding of new users, glossary maintenance, and metadata enrichment.
• Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders: ensure that Atlan’s catalog and glossary, along with governance workflows, align with data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake), BI tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI and Essbase) and correct business terminology and definitions.
• Document and maintain metadata assets, glossary terms, business definitions and data-ownership in Atlan for consistent understanding across the organization.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with metadata or Data-Catalog platforms (experience with Atlan preferred)
• Familiarity with data quality tools, along with experience in developing and implementing custom data quality rules using data engineering expertise.
• Anomalo experience is a strong plus.
• Must have strong SQL skills, with experience working in data warehouses and reporting tools such as Snowflake.
• Experience in Data Governance (Atlan) component, understanding of data-governance concepts is key: business glossaries, data ownership, tagging, lineage, policy enforcement.
• Good communication and collaboration skills: candidate must be comfortable working across engineering, analytics, and most importantly business stakeholders.
• Attend on weekly support calls with application representatives.
