Job Summary:

Data Entry Operator – Radiology Department

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter patient registration details and scan/test requests into the system accurately.
• Upload and manage radiology images and reports in the RIS/HIS.
• Coordinate with radiology technicians and radiologists to ensure proper tagging of patient scans.
• Generate, print, and dispatch reports to patients or concerned departments after verification.
• Ensure the correct test name, patient details, and consultant signatures are reflected in reports.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records and reports.
• Track pending reports and ensure timely completion and delivery.
• Assist radiologists in maintaining daily logs and preparing workload or productivity reports.
• Handle patient billing and coordinate with the front office for corrections or clarifications.
• Identify and rectify data errors or mismatched entries promptly.
• Support IT or PACS team for technical issues related to report generation or data retrieval.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in computer operations and data entry (minimum typing speed: 35 wpm).
• Familiarity with

  Radiology Information System (RIS), PACS, or Hospital Information System (HIS)

  preferred.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good understanding of medical terminology related to radiology is an advantage.

Qualifications:

• Minimum: HSC or Diploma in Computer Applications.
• Preferred: Graduate in any discipline with knowledge of medical data management.
• Experience: 1–3 years in a radiology department or diagnostic center.
