About the Job:

Data Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a strong Data engineering background, should be comfortable working with large datasets, implementing data quality checks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver reliable, secure, and production-grade data solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement

  scalable, cost-efficient data pipelines

  that support structured and semi-structured data ingestion (CSV, fixed-width, JSON, etc.), using modern orchestration tools like

  Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer

• Develop robust, reusable data processing workflows leveraging

  Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

  services such as

  Big Query

  ,

  Dataflow

  ,

  Cloud Storage

  ,

  DataProc

  , and

  Apache Beam

  — or equivalent AWS/Azure technologies.
• Write clean, high-performance code in

  Python

  or

  Java

  , and develop optimized

  SQL queries

  for transformation, aggregation, and reporting needs.
• Implement and manage

  end-to-end automated data pipelines

  , ensuring data integrity, performance, and monitoring across the entire lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and other team members.
• Implemented E2E automated pipeline to ingest the data from different formats (csv, fixed width, json etc.)
• Ensure strong

  data governance, access control

  security configurations

  , especially in environments like

  Big Query

  , with a focus on secure data sharing and compliance.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s Degree in computer science/ Statistics/ Data Science/ Engineering

2. 4+ years of hands-on experience

   in data science, with a focus on applying machine learning in banking or fintech domains
3. Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably

   Python

   or

   Java

   , for data pipeline and ETL/ELT development. Strong expertise in

   SQL

   ,
4. Proven experience designing and deploying

   production-grade, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions

   on at least one major cloud platform (

   GCP preferred

   , AWS or Azure acceptable).
5. Hands-on experience in building Credit risk models for other

   financial institutions/ Retail/ B2C start-ups/ SystemIntegrator companies/Banking Product is mandatory
